Requirements
  • An Advanced Degree in Physics or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience with spectroscopic analysis of biological samples, preferably using Raman.

  • Familiarity with spectrometric calibration methods.
  • Familiarity with various spectroscopic techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in developing a new generation of photonics-based medical devices,
    investigative optics, and spectroscopy.
  • Conduct incoming inspections of spectrometers and maintain equipment within the QC.
  • Perform Spectrometer calibration.
  • Root-cause analysis of error in measurements and implement hardware improvement.
  • Carry out experiments, perform data analysis, and carry out data extractions and analyses.
  • Participate in modifying and optimizing experiments.
  • Develop new experimental ideas and experiments; provide suggestions on
    instrumentation design and/or instrumentation improvements based on experimental results.
Requirements
  • Experience with the optical and electrical aspects of spectroscopic instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with spectrometric calibration methods.
  • Familiarity with various spectroscopic techniques.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the followings: light sources, lasers, pulsed lasers, high-resolution spectrographs, all types of photodetectors, optical design trade-offs.
  • Understands the principles of spectroscopic instrumentation application, sampling methodologies, and has a demonstrated good design approach to experimentation.
  • Strong capability and adaptability to work in a fast-paced company with a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience with Variation and Repeatability analysis.
